What surprised me the most was the amount of money i'll have to pay for tuition. I expected to be hundreds of dollars in debt every month but I wasn't. I didn't expect to have 3 people living with me but if I didn't I would be in debt for the rest of my life. Having 3 people living with me lowered the mortgage for me. With this project I realized the insane amount of money that I have to come up with to pay for everything. I think I am in a way prepared for all that responsibility, but I also think it will become overwhelming at times. I could begin to prepare for all of this by getting a job and trying to pay things on my own. That way I begin to learn to pay and take care of myself.

Yes, having a roommate is really the best thing we can do when we are at that age. There is no way possible we would make that money only making $10 a hour. I have a job right now so I'm going to put $50 away every paycheck I get. I think you should do the same.
ReplyDeleteMost people say that they are surprised about money, but that's because the cost is so high. If you don't have to spend that much money, cool. Also, the roommate idea seems to be really helpful as well.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean by overwhelming. I started taking care of a lot of my necessities my junior year and that in itself was overwhelming. It sort of in a way scares me. but you know what they say "team work makes the dream work" so maybe i will get some room-mates.
